In this paper we pretend to do a revision of the service sector in its relations with the rest of the productive sectors, and with the industrial sector in particular. The poor dedication suffered by this sector, in academic works and governmental policies, has placed that one in an inferior rank from other sectors. However, its impllications in a more and more tertiarity world, place it as vital importance activities for the national competitivity. It is due to the fact that industry-services relations are closer and closer, both the inputs that the sector incorporates frrom industry in its services, as well as the externalization wich is produced in activities before included in the industry and nowadays engaged with independient services firms.
