In this paper, we analyse the scientific publication patterns in Economics and Business in Spain in the period 1994-2003. In particular, we elaborate rankings of Spanish universities using information of their publication performance, productivity, quality of articles published and their impact (citations). The obtained results show an upwards trend in scientific production. This improvement is due to both the increase in the number of researchers and a higher productivity per researcher.
