The importance of local development model as a flexible pattern of prosperity in multiple rural areas and territories afflicted by unemployment, economic backwardness and periphericity, makes it a very interesting strategy for Castilla y León. This analisys could serve as a point of reference for future attempts to reproduce initiatives of industrialization at the local level in other areas within the Autonomous Community. The main statistic source used in order to achieve this objectif is the Censo de Locales de Castilla y León 1990 provided by the INE.
