Rural tourism has experimented a very important development in the last years in Spain and public aids have strongly contributed to this development. In this paper the ELECTRE-TRI outranking method is applied for the distribution of public aids in the case of rural tourism. The method is applied to the projects presented in Galicia (year 2001). The ELECTRE-TRI method results are different from the results that de Xunta de Galicia has obtained using the lineal weigh sum method.
