In this paper we are going to consider a system with n components subjet to shoks that arrive according to n homogeneous Poisson process. These components have to be replaced when a fixed number of shocks are made. It is obtained the expected cost per unit of time, and sufficient conditions for the existence and for the non existence of a optimal policy of preventive repalcement.
