Patentanmeldungen und technologischer Wandel in Finnland, Norwegen und Schweden

Abstract

Zum Patent angemeldete Erfindungen sind einer von vielen Indikatoren, die Aufschluß über die Forschungsaktivitäten in einer Volkswirtschaft geben können. Da bei der Patentanmeldung eine Erfindung einem oder mehreren Technikfeldern, sog. IPC-Klassen, zugeordnet wird, geben patentstatistische Analysen nicht nur Anhaltspunkte über die Intensität, sondern auch über die technologische Richtung von Forschung und Entwicklung. Eine Auswertung der ifo Patentstatistik, die auf Erfindungen basiert, die nicht nur in ihrem Ursprungsland, sondern in mindestens einem weiteren Land zum Patent angemeldet wurden, deckt erhebliche Unterschiede zwischen den drei skandinavischen Ländern auf.
