Leasing : Wachstumsmotor Ostdeutschland

Schon vor dem Inkrafttreten der Währungsunion zwischen der Bundesrepublik und der ehemaligen DDR richteten zahlreiche westdeutsche Leasinggesellschaften Zweigstellen in Ostdeutschland ein. Diese Entwicklung verstärkte sich 1991 erheblich, was auch eine Folge der Investitionszulagenregelung war. Dank dieser schnellen Reaktion konnten die Leasinggesellschaften bereits 1990, aber insbesondere im laufenden Jahr beachtliche Geschäftsabschlüsse in den neuen Bundesländern tätigen. Wie die neueste Erhebung des ifo Instituts in der Leasingbranche zeigt, expandierten diese 1990 in der Bundesrepublik um 13,6%. Abzüglich der in Ostdeutschland getätigten Investitionen verringerte sich deren Anteil an den gesamtwirtschaftlichen Anlagenkäufen (ohne Wohnungsbau) in den alten Bundesländern von 10,5 auf 10,4%. Im laufenden Jahr steigern die Leasinggesellschaften ihr Wachstumstempo nochmals. Mit dem erwarteten Plus von rund 17% werden die Investitionsausgaben der Leasingbranche auf fast 48 Mrd. anwachsen. Da von dieser Summe jedoch mindestens 3,7 Mrd. DM auf Abschlüsse in den neuen Bundesländern anfallen, geht die Leasingquote in Westdeutschland nochmals leicht zurück.
