Trapez.Analyse: Geschlechtsspezifische Pensionsunterschiede in Österreich. Quantitative und qualitative Befunde

Abstract

Im Europäischen Vergleich ist die Pensionslücke zwischen Frauen und Männern in Österreich besonders hoch. Auf der Grundlage aller Einkommen der 65-Jährigen und Älteren liegt der Gender Gap der Pensionen bei 38,7%. Auf der Grundlage der Pensionsneuzugänge 2017 beträgt er sogar 42,3%. Bestimmend für den hohen Gender Gap sind die niedrigen Fraueneinkommen sowie auch die geringere Zahl an Versicherungsjahren der Frauen. Die Höhe der Pensionslücke schätzten die befragten Frauen überwiegend richtig ein, und sie bewerteten auch die Einflussfaktoren richtig, obwohl sie über die institutionelle Ausgestaltung des österreichischen Pensionssystems eher wenig informiert sind.
