Landwirtschaft und Wasser. Nutzung, Kostendeckung und Entwicklung der Belastung

Abstract

Gemäß der Wasserrahmenrichtlinie der EU müssen die Mitgliedstaaten die wirtschaftliche Nutzung der Gewässer beschreiben, die Kostendeckung von Wasserdienstleistungen erheben und jene Bereiche identifizieren, in denen die Ziele der Richtlinie (guter ökologischer, chemischer und mengenmäßiger Zustand) nicht erreicht werden. Die WIFO-Studie beleuchtet, wie die österreichischen Flussgebietseinheiten durch die Landwirtschaft charakterisiert werden. Eine Modellrechnung von Szenarien zur Entwicklung des Sektors bis 2015 lässt eine Verringerung der Gewässerbelastung durch die Landwirtschaft erwarten.
