Catalogue of Conservation Practices for Agriculture in Sloping Land

Abstract

This catalog lists farm practices which enhances conservation of natural resources. Its focus is on agricultural practices which are useful on farms in the humid and sub-humid tropics. It is primarily written for development workers, farmers and researchers. This catalog supports workers promoting successful conservation technologies shaped from research or experience. In this catalogue, a conservation practice is defined as a farming method which helpd reduce degradation of natural resources. It also covers those practices which have significant impact on the conservation component of sustainability. It containd practices that promote resource conservation on sloping lands.
