Modelo de la relación entre sentido de lugar y patrimonio urbano: propuesta teórico-conceptual

Abstract

La planeación urbana, sobre todo en América Latina, ha evidenciado apartarse de las políticas de planeación integral del territorio para optar por proyectos de intervención estratégica. Por lo tanto, antes de reconfigurar los lugares es necesario reconocer el complejo papel que los mismos desempeñan para la ciudad en su conjunto. Con tal fin, el presente escrito propone el modelo de la relación entre el sentido de lugar y el patrimonio urbano, en donde se determinan las siguientes cinco categorías esenciales: 1) dependencia al lugar, 2) apego al lugar, 3) identidad del lugar, 4) política del lugar, y 5) entorno construido junto a su oportunidad ambiental. De tal manera, se pretende aportar un enfoque integral que informe de la vinculación que las personas establecen con su entorno, cuyo refuerzo en última instancia convierte a un lugar ordinario en único o patrimonial.
