¿La sangre llama?: la familia como naturaleza o como construcción

Abstract

Este artículo se propone demostrar que la familia mexicana, al igual que en general la de América Latina, hace pasar por biológico y por ende por natural el origen de prácticas sociales que no excluyen el ejercicio del poder hacia dentro y hacia afuera, en una sociedad que carece de autonomía ante esos lazos personales. Estas prácticas se encuentran en distintos estratos sociales. El origen de esta representación está en los estatus de limpieza de sangre coloniales y tiene tal peso, habida cuenta de la naturalización del poder, que refuerza las dependencias y limita el reconocimiento de la independencia individual.
