Panorama regional y sectorial del empleo en los paises de la Union Europea 1985-2000

Abstract

Analizamos la evolucion del empleo sectorial en los paises de la Union Europea en 1985-95, en los sectores de Agricultura, Industria, Construccion y Servicios, a nivel RR9 de la clasificacion de Eurostat, distinguiendo entre las industrias de Energia, Bienes Intermedios, Bienes de Equipo y Bienes de Consumo, los servicios de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Comercio y Hosteleria, otros servicios de mercado y Servicios Publicos, asi como el empleo total y las tasa de empleo por cada mil habitantes hasta el año 2000. Por lo que respecta al analisis regional analizamos la situacion en 1995, las tasas de empleo por cada mil habitantes y el crecimiento del periodo 1985-95 en del empleo agrario y no agrario en 98 regiones europeas. El articulo hace referencia a las desigualdades existentes entre las regiones europeas y a la necesidad de impulsar politicas economicas que incrementen el empleo no agrario, especialmente en las regiones con tasas mas bajas, teniendo en cuenta las importantes relaciones exist entes entre el desarrollo industrial y el crecimiento del empleo en los sectores de servicios asi como el impacto de otros factores importantes como el nivel educativo de la poblacion y el gasto en Investigacion y Desarrollo.
