Trends im Retail-Banking: Ausländische Banken im deutschen Bankenmarkt

Abstract

Kaum ein anderes Geschäftsfeld im deutschen Bankensektor hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren so dynamisch entwickelt wie das Retail-Banking. Ein wesentlicher Grund hierfür ist die zunehmende Präsenz ausländischer Banken in Deutschland. Sie setzen auf innovative Vertriebskonzepte und günstige Konditionen, um im Neukundengeschäft Marktanteile zu gewinnen. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat das Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung (ZEW) im Rahmen des ZEW Finanzmarkttests im Juni 2008 rund 350 Experten aus Banken, Versicherungen und sonstigen Finanzdienstleistungsunternehmen zu den strategischen Vorteilen und Nachteilen von ausländischen Retail-Banken und deren Zukunftsperspektiven in Deutschland befragt.
