Nationalstaatliche Entgrenzung und kosmopolitische Politisierung

Abstract

Der Artikel beschäftigt sich mit dem Entstehen kosmopolitischer Orientierungen im Zuge nationalstaatlicher Entgrenzung. Ausgehend von der neueren Literatur zum Kosmopolitismus im Kontext gesellschaftlicher Transformation wird nach den sozialen Grundlagen zugeschriebener supranationaler und weltgemeinschaftlicher politischer Verantwortung gefragt. Dabei wird die These aufgegriffen, dass sich mit zunehmenden Erfahrungen der Grenzüberschreitung und Transnationalisierung die normativen und kognitiven Horizonte der Bürger in Richtung einer globalen Verantwortungsethik verändern. Diese These wird auf der Grundlage einer Surveybefragung der deutschen Bevölkerung überprüft (Survey Transnationalisierung 2006). Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass mit einer zunehmenden individuellen Einbindung in transnationale Zusammenhänge die Problemlösungskompetenz stärker den internationalen Organisationen zugeschrieben und eine größere Verantwortung der Weltgemeinschaft eingefordert wird.
