    Abstract

-- The present study addresses the question whetherand to which extent the Louvre-Accord can be considered as a realisation of the target-zone proposals of WILLIAMSON and McKINNON. We analyse the measures that have been taken to stabilize exchange-rates between member countries ofthe Louvre-Agreement and dlscuss in which way the coordination problems of autumn 1987 support the critics of target-zone arrangements
