Zur Entwicklung der deutschen Weltmarktanteile

Abstract

Der Entwicklung der deutschen Exporte in Relation zum Welthandel - den deutschen Weltmarktanteilen - wird bisweilen eine hohe öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit sowie wirtschaftspolitische Bedeutung zuteil. So ist der Weltmarktanteil einer der zentralen Indikatoren im Makroökonomischen Ungleichgewichteverfahren im Rahmen des Europäischen Semesters, um "strukturelle Verschlechterungen der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit" abzubilden, insbesondere nicht-preisliche Aspekte der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Freilich ist das Konzept der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit für Volkswirtschaften problematisch und der Weltmarktanteil vor diesem Hintergrund mehr als mögliches Symptom für zugrundliegende wirtschaftliche Probleme denn als Zielgröße für die Wirtschaftspolitik zu verstehen.
