Absatz- und Personalpolitik mittelständischer Unternehmen im Zeichen des demografischen Wandels: Herausforderungen und Reaktionen

Abstract

Die demografische Entwicklung wird mittel- bis langfristig zu nachhaltigen Veränderungen in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft führen. Die Alterung und Schrumpfung der Bevölkerung in Deutschland werden sich sowohl auf die Güternachfrage als auch auf die Verfügbarkeit und Preise von Produktionsfaktoren wie Arbeitskräfte und Kapital auswirken. Mit der hier vorliegenden Studie liefert das IfM Bonn eine umfassende Bestandsaufnahme der demografisch bedingten betrieblichen Anpassungen mittelständischer Unternehmen - erstmalig für die Bereiche Absatz- und Personalpolitik zusammen - und formuliert Handlungsempfehlungen für die Politik und öffentliche Institutionen. Die Befragungsergebnisse zeigen, dass die Unternehmen bereits aktiv auf die demografisch bedingten Veränderungen auf der Nachfrageseite reagieren, wohingegen das Problembewusstsein seitens der Personalpolitik erst langsam wächst.
