Auswirkungen der Abfallgesetzgebung auf das Abfallaufkommen und die Behandlungskapazitäten bis 2020

Abstract

Am 1. Juni 2012 tritt in Deutschland die Novelle des Kreislaufwirtschaftsgesetzes in Kraft. Mit ihr sollen gleichermaßen europarechtliche Vorgaben (Richtlinie 2008/98/EG) erfüllt, sowie der weitere Umbau zu einer Stoffstromwirtschaft vorangetrieben werden. Von besonderer Bedeutung für künftige Abfallströme werden dabei die Einführung einer Wertstofftonne und einer obligatorischen Biotonne bis spätestens zum Jahr 2015 sein. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Konsequenzen dieser und weiterer sozio-ökonomischer Entwicklungen für die Abfallmengen und Behandlungskapazitäten bis 2020. Der Fokus gilt den Siedlungsabfällen und den Abfällen aus Produktion und Gewerbe.
