Preisanstieg am EU-Zuckermarkt: Bestimmungsgründe und Handlungsmöglichkeiten der Marktpolitik. Gutachten für den Milchindustrie-Verband e.V

Abstract

Anlass für dieses Gutachten ist die Preisentwicklung am Zuckermarkt der EU seit Herbst 2009, als der Zuckerpreis der Absenkung des Referenzpreises nicht mehr gefolgt ist. Seit Herbst 2010 ist der Preis sogar deutlich gestiegen, mit einer drastischen Beschleunigung im Herbst 2011. Wie ist diese Preisentwicklung zu erklären? Welche Rolle spielt dabei die EU-Marktpolitik, und wie ist sie mit derjenigen bei Milch zu vergleichen? Wie wirkt sich das Wachstum des Verbrauchs an Bioethanol aus?
