Clusterentwicklung und -politik in der Verpackungsmaschinenbau-Industrie Baden-Württembergs

Abstract

Mit dem Clusterkonzept werden Hoffnungen auf eine erfolgreiche Regionalentwicklung verbunden. Jedoch können sich Cluster über einen längeren Zeitraum sowohl positiv als auch negativ entwickeln. Die Determinanten der Clusterentwicklung bedürfen daher einer genaueren Überprüfung. Mit dem Instrument der Clusterpolitik werden solche räumlichen Ballungen derselben Branche unterstützt, um Vorteile für die ansässigen Unternehmen zu generieren. Anhand dreier Cluster der Verpackungsmaschinenbau-Industrie im Landkreis Schwäbisch-Hall, in der Region Stuttgart sowie in Mittelhessen wird zum einen untersucht, welche Faktoren für unterschiedliche Clusterentwicklungen verantwortlich sind und zum anderen, welche Rolle die Politik bei der Clusterentwicklung spielt und welche Einflüsse die Clusterinitiativen auf die Unternehmen haben.
