Entrepreneuriat et croissance, une conjonction évidemment favorable ?

Abstract

L'article présente brièvement deux questions fondamentales relatives aux liens entre l'entrepreneuriat et la croissance économique. La première question s'intéresse à leurs rapports endogènes. Nous suggérons en particulier que si plus d'entrepreneurs peut signifier plus de croissance économique, la croissance peut aussi à son tour affecter l'arbitrage des individus entre différentes occupations professionnelles, dont l'entrepreneuriat, en en modifiant les rémunérations relatives. La seconde question se rapporte aux différents types d'activités auxquelles l'individu peut allouer ses talents. Nous distinguons l'entrepreneuriat du " rent-seeking behaviour ". Leurs impacts distinctifs sur la croissance économique sont alors discutés en termes statiques et dynamiques.
