Entwicklung der Erwerbsbeteiligung bis 2030 unter Berücksichtigung von Änderungen im Bildungsverhalten und rezenten Pensionsreformen

Abstract

Die österreichische Bevölkerung wird in den nächsten Jahrzehnten weiter wachsen. Gleichzeitig wird aber voraussichtlich die Zahl der Personen im erwerbsfähigen Alter bis 2030 sinken. Wieweit sich diese demographischen Prozesse im tatsächlichen Arbeitskräfteangebot (Summe aus Beschäftigten und Arbeitslosen) spiegeln werden, hängt wesentlich vom Erwerbsverhalten ab. Das Paper untersucht die Entwicklung der Erwerbsquoten unter expliziter Berücksichtigung von Veränderungen der Ausbildungsstruktur, langfristig beobachtbaren Trends im Erwerbsverhalten und der Verschärfung der Pensionszugangsbestimmungen. Diese Faktoren üben einen markanten Einfluss auf die Erwerbsquotenentwicklung aus. Aus heutiger Sicht ist bis 2030 kaum ein Rückgang des Arbeitskräfteangebotes zu erwarten.
