Une Analyse Cognitive Du Concept De « Vision Entrepreneuriale »

Abstract

Les travaux récents sur l'entreprise comme « processeur de connaissances » [cf. P. Cohendet et al., 1999] montrent que dans un contexte de changement, le comportement de celle-ci dépend fortement de sa capacité à générer et exploiter de multiples connaissances sur lesquelles les compétences de l’entreprise sont fondées. Cette approche soulève plusieurs questions essentielles : comment sont identifiées ces différentes compétences au sein de l’entreprise ? Sont–elles le produit d’une contrainte externe imposée par les conditions de marché et de l’environnement concurrentiel ? Et/ou sont-elles le fruit d’une démarche entrepreneuriale qui, pour exploiter les opportunités de marché, crée et sélectionne de nouvelles compétences ? L’approche de la firme fondée sur les connaissances privilégie le rôle de l’entrepreneur étant donné son intérêt pour l’analyse des processus de création de connaissances internes à l’entreprise. En accord avec cette approche, nous pensons que le concept de la vision entrepreneuriale [cf. notamment M. Fransman, 1994] - comme facteur critique dans le processus de sélection et de création des compétences - présente une piste sérieuse de recherche pour avancer dans cette direction. Or, souvent présentée comme un élément essentiel du modèle décisionnel de l’entrepreneur, la vision manque d’un cadre théorique bien établi. De plus, le passage de la vision entrepreneuriale individuelle à la vision organisationnelle n’est pas toujours clairement explicité. Pour pallier ce déficit, une analyse cognitive de la vision nous permet d’asseoir ce concept dans une perspective théorique adaptée.
