Abstract

This technical note aims to present a proposal for the classification of the Monthly Employment Survey (PME) occupations into five socioeconomic classes. Therefore, it is implemented a division based on aspects of productivity and quality of the jobs. It is expected that the proposed classification can be used to represent the segmented structure of the metropolitan labor market in Brazil and also for occupational mobility analysis.
