El desarrollo de los estudios de economía regional en España

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es ofrecer una visión panorámica de la evolución de los estudios regionales en España desde la óptica de la Economía. Tras una breve introducción, en la sección 2 se exponen algunos rasgos del lento proceso de incorporación del territorio – la variable ’espacio’ - en los análisis económicos. Posteriormente se estudian (sección 3) los factores que más han influido en el desarrollo de los estudios regionales en el contexto europeo. Y, por último (sección 4), el autor muestra los sucesivos impulsos que, en su opinión, han conducido a consolidar y alcanzar el excelente nivel actual de los estudios de Economía Regional en nuestro país. Unas breves notas finales cierran el artículo.
