Oportunidades para la integración de las redes de transporte en el área euro-mediterránea

Abstract

En la última Conferencia de Ministros de Transporte de la Unión por el Mediterráneo, celebrada a finales del año 2013, se ha reforzado la cooperación en proyectos de infraestructuras del transporte, vitales para lograr las dotaciones necesarias que se requieren en la región con el fin de potenciar los intercambios comerciales. Entre los proyectos en marcha destacan el desarrollo de la Red Trans-Mediterránea de Transporte (TMN-T) y los avances en las redes de plataformas logísticas. En este artículo se van a analizar las grandes líneas de la cooperación Euro-Mediterránea en materia de transportes, lo que permitirá valorar la situación actual de las infraestructuras en esta región y sus efectos sobre los servicios de transporte y logística. No cabe duda, que el impulso de estos equipamientos constituye uno de los principales pilares de la recuperación económica y del cambio social.
