El turismo como integrador del área euromediterránea

Abstract

El turismo es una de las actividades de servicios más integradora en los tres pilares del proceso de Barcelona, el económico, el político y de seguridad, y el social. Es un sector complejo, con una cadena de valor altamente fragmentada y con fuertes efectos de arrastre. En términos económicos es un sector de máxima importancia en términos de producción y de empleo en muchos países de la zona euromediterránea. En términos sociales, el turismo desempeña un papel importante a la hora de generar empleo. Políticamente, un mejor conocimiento de los países contribuye a la paz entre distintos países y nacionalidades.
