Abstract

L'éducation des enfants est modélisée en tant que problème principal-agent modifié où l'enfant tâche de maximiser son propre bien-être face à une stratégie parentale destinée à maximiser la perception qu'a le parent du bien-être de la famille. Ainsi, les enfants et les parents sont tous des joueurs, mais les enfants ont des taux d'actualisation plus élevés que les parents. La simultanéité du style parental et du comportement des enfants est confirmée au moyen des données tirées de l'Enquête longitudinale nationale sur les enfants et les jeunes menée au Canada en 1994.
