Amérique latine : en butte à l'inflation

Abstract

L’Amérique latine reste pour sa quatrième année consécutive sur un rythme de croissance soutenue. Avec 5 % en 2007, la croissance moyenne régionale aura été de 5,9 % entre 2004 et 2007, soit un record historique au regard des performances des vingt-cinq dernières années. La crise qui sévit sur les marchés financiers n’a pas trop affecté la confiance à l’égard de la zone qui bénéficie de la solidité de ses fondamentaux et de besoins de financements moindres. Le ralentissement de la croissance des États-Unis, et dans une moindre mesure des autres régions du monde devrait freiner la dynamique du commerce mondial et donc de la demande extérieure adressée à la zone tandis que la progression des demandes intérieures commence à buter sur les contraintes d’offre. La croissance pourrait atteindre 4,1 % en 2008 et 3,4 % en 2009. [Premier paragraphe]
