Abstract

Sur fond de crise financière encore aiguë en début d’année, l’économie américaine devrait connaître un repli nettement plus marqué de son activité en 2008 et 2009. Le risque d’une entrée en récession pointe au premier trimestre mais devrait être levé avec la mise en place d’un policy-mix très actif, destiné à très court terme à stabiliser les marchés et favoriser le retour de la confiance, et, à l’horizon des prochains trimestres, à soutenir la demande. Après 2,2 % en 2007, la croissance serait de 1,2 % en 2008 et 1,5 % en 2009, avec un rythme en fin d’année équivalent au rythme de la croissance potentielle. [Premier paragraphe]
