Abstract

Med mellemrum blusser diskussion om den økonomiske fagdisciplins videnskabelighed op. Er main stream tankegangen nu tilstrækkelig nuanceret i sit indhold og sin approach til at kunne fange og på relevant vis belyse de væsentligste forekomne økonomiske fænomener? På den ene side vokser tilslutningen til den fremherskende makroøkonomiske tankegang til stadighed. På den anden side lyder de kritiske røster, der påpeger denne tankegangs eksplicitte fravær af etiske og moralske overvejelser, højere og højere. I nærværende note afdækkes udvalgte træk af den nyere danske kritik af main stream retningen inden for makroteorien, ligesom det påpeges, at økonomisk teori, selv i sin spæde fragmenterede præklassiske begyndelse, til alle tider har indeholdt en betydende normativ dimension.
