Salario di Riserva, Probabilita' di Occupazione ed Efficacia dell'Istruzione Universitaria: un'Analisi sugli Studenti dell'Universita' di Salerno

Abstract

In questo lavoro si intende analizzare l'efficacia dell'apprendimento universitario in termini di probabilita' di occupazione. I dati utilizzati sono quelli sui laureati nell'Universita' di Salerno nel decennio 1987-1996. Il modello teorico utilizzato e' quello base appartenente alla teoria della ricerca. Il principale obiettivo e' distinguere i fattori di domanda da quelli di offerta che influiscono sulla probabilita' di occupazione dei giovani laureati. Per fare cio' e' stato necessario costruire, anche per coloro che hanno trovato un'occupazione, la serie dei salari di riserva. Tale informazione e' stata ottenuta utilizzando una procedura di simulazione partendo dalla conoscenza dei primi due momenti della distribuzione dei salari di riserva, stimata per i disoccupati. Il risultato piu' importante e' che la disoccupazione dei laureati dell'Universita' di Salerno e' attribuibile per la maggior parte a fattori di domanda, e solo un effetto medio stimato pari all'8% e', invece, attribuibile a fattori di offerta, come il maggior salario di riserva.
