Abstract

The world financial system in the last 5 years is in a phase of increased instability. The events of 2008 have shown that the bankruptcy of major financial institutions have significant risks for the economy and society. Despite significant measures of quantitative easing and buy-out of problem assets, undertaken by the Central banks of Europe, USA and Japan, problems in the Eurozone remain, and the status of many banks is far from ideal, despite the almost unlimited support of Central banks. Statements of some of America's largest universal banks, for the third quarter of 2012 is rather weak, which is caused, including a significant drop in income from trading. The possible further deterioration of the situation with debt problems in the Euro zone could lead to a further deceleration of the world economy and escalating problems in the financial sector, including in the sector of investment and banking institutions, which makes the task of ensuring the stability of their activities one of the main.
