Abstract

Ce travail se justifie par l'absence d'indicateur socio-économique de gestion durable de la forêt privée fragmentée des agriculteurs. L'objectif est d'apprécier la performance de différents scénarios sylvicoles avec un outil qui tienne compte des spécificités de cette forêt telle que la multifonctionalité et la gestion non planifiée à court terme. L'hypothèse des auteurs et que la façon dont l'agriculteur perçoit sa forêt est une composante forte de la prise de décisions de scénarios techniques. Sont comparés trois scénarios (maintien, conversion et transformation) sur un même peuplement de taillis sous futaie et les forêts de trois propriétaires différents (un sylviculteur, un attentiste et un utilisateur récoltant). La conversion est plus performante que le maintien. La transformation est la plus performante. Le sylviculteur et l'attentiste qui cueille des champignons ont les marges d'avenir les plus importantes. Les auteurs concluent à la validité de leur hypothèse et à la possibilité d'appliquer cet indicateur à l'ensemble des productions sylvicoles et sylvestres de la forêt.
