[Social control: the essence and role in modern society]

Abstract

The article is about the specifics of social control as a social phenomenon. The author analyzes as social control historically was changing, as approaches to its definition, its types, methods, the system of sanctions were changing also. Particular attention is paid to identifying the sources to the process of social control society.
