This document considers the probability of being employed in a good quality job over labor market in the Region of Los Lagos, Chile, between years 1996 and 2003, in order to establish possible levels of inequality in this market between men and women, according to the labor economics literature. Parametric models of Logit type are considered, in order to contrast the results obtained with the gender discrimination theory. The estimation reflect a behavior of gender discrimination in the probability of having a good quality employment for the case of men in the 1996, whereas for year 2003, this discrimination no longer exists, an example of this, there is a balance between men and women in their acces to good quality jobs.
