Abstract

Mirar a la economía desde el interés por libertad de los individuos en general y de los agentes económicos en particular constituye un ejercicio relativamente poco común. En este trabajo nos centramos en un tipo de libertad: la que se refiere a “Los servicios económicos (en forma de oportunidades para participar en el comercio y la producción). Un aspecto de tal libertad es el acceso a mercados. Ofrecemos una aproximación a uno de los elementos requeridos para dicho acceso: la innovación productiva que afecta el costo de transporte. En este trabajo, innovación tiene el sentido limitado de sustitución de cultivos que aumenta la proporción de productos con alto valor unitario dentro de la canasta de productos agrícolas de cada campesino.
