Diversificación y reparto de dividendos en la empresa española: un análisis de agencia

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es lograr, a través de su análisis integrado y desde una perspectiva de agencia, una mejor comprensión de la política de dividendos y de las estrategias de diversificación empresarial. La evidencia empírica proporcionada por una muestra de 106 empresas españolas no financieras revela que las empresas con “negocio dominante” muestran, de acuerdo con las hipótesis planteadas, una relación positiva y directa entre ambas variables, mientras que el comportamiento de las empresas con “negocios no relacionados” no puede ser explicado a través de los modelos tradicionales, lo que parece requerir un nuevo marco para su comprensión.
