Abstract

La definición de dinero puede hacerse de dos maneras: determinando "a priori" alguna condición para que un activo sea considerado dinero, de tal forma que los bienes se dividan entre aquellos que no lo son, o bien reconocer una tercera categoría, compuesta por bienes que son dinero sólo en parte. En este trabajo el autor, tras fundamentar teóricamente la conveniencia de aplicar este último criterio, realiza estimaciones para Argentina, analizando luego la relación de las nuevas variables construidas con el ingreso real y el ingreso nominal.
