景気変動と自殺率に関する経済分析―企業行動からのアプローチ-

Abstract

わが国においては、1998年以降自殺率が急増し、深刻な社会問題に発展している。精神疾患の増加も近年報告されている。本稿では、経済環境の変化により、労働基準に関するコンセンサスが激変した場合、企業が労働者の切り捨てと職場のストレスの引き上げに向かう経済的な合理性が存在すると主張する。そしてこれが、通貨金融危機後に自殺が増加した理由の一つではないかと考える。
