Abstract

Les objectifs spécifiques de l'étude sont de : (1) évaluer et comparer la prévalence du retard de croissance et de l’émaciation parmi les enfants de moins de 5 ans dans les zones d’enquête, (2) identifier les facteurs socio-économiques associés aux taux de malnutrition plus élevés ou plus bas, avec un accent particulier sur le rôle joué par les différents types de systèmes de production agricole, (3) comprendre comment le personnel de santé en milieu rural voit le problème de la malnutrition et ce qu’ils font pour l’affronter,(4) étudier l’étendue sur laquelle les gouvernements communaux locaux établis pendant le processus de décentralisation au Mali peuvent catalyser et coordonner des actions communautaires pour réduire la malnutrition infantile. Ce bulletin récapitule les principaux résultats clefs présentés dans quatre notes de synthèses1 précédentes.
