Abstract

L'un des objectifs de la dévaluation du FCFA était d'améliorer les revenus des producteurs à travers une meilleure compétitivité et des gains de productivité. Au Mali, ce sont surtout les secteurs rizicole, cotonnier et l'élevage qui ont bénéficié de cette mesure. Outre la dévaluation, les réformes de politique - libéralisation de la filière riz, réaménagements des périmètres irrigués - ont modifié l'environnement de la filière riz irrigué à l'Office du Niger. Pour analyser l'impact de ces changements de politique, l'Institut du Sahel (INSAH) en collaboration avec l'Institut d'Economie Rurale (IER) et Michigan State University (MSU) a réalisé une série d'enquêtes auprès des producteurs de la zone de l'Office du Niger. Les évolutions mises en évidence permettent d'illustrer l'impact des changements de politique sur les revenus et les stratégies des producteurs de la zone.
