Abstract

O progresso em direcção a uma melhor e mais sustentável segurança alimentar em Moçambique nos últimos anos é evidente em três dimensões: 1) aumento da disponibilidade de calorias per capita face a reduções drásticas da ajuda alimentar, 2) preços mais estáveis e inferiores para o principal alimento básico produzido internamente, o milho branco, e 3) um sistema alimentar que agora fornece aos consumidores um leque maior de alimentos básicos de baixo custo por onde escolher.
