The objectives of this research are to: review the evolution of Senegalese agricultural policy and its impact on cropping productivity; describe current production practices in the Senegalese Peanut Basin, identifying factors that now contribute to or constrain productivity growth; and offer recommendations for policy initiatives likely to improve productivity.
