Die Parameterschätzung in fehlspezifizierten Independent Probitmodellen: Eine Monte-Carlo-Studie

Abstract

In dieser Arbeit wird die Parameterschätzung in verschiedenen fehlspezifizierten ein- und mehrperiodigen Mehralternativen-Independent Probitmodellen untersucht. Bei der irrtümlichen Vernachlässigung der zugrunde liegenden kontemporären und intertemporalen Verknüpfungen können sich bei den geschätzten Koeffizienten der erklärenden Variablen systematische Verzerrungen ergeben, falls diese Variablen einen Einfluß auf die Wahlentscheidung besitzen. Bei der inkorrekten Schätzung im einperiodigen Vieralternativen-Independent Probitmodell ist das Ausmaß der Verzerrungen sehr gering. Wesentlich stärkere Auswirkungen zeigen sich bei der Parameterschätzung in fehlspezifizierten Mehrperioden-Mehralternativen-Independent Probitmodellen. Das Ausmaß der Verzerrungen steigt dabei mit zunehmender Anzahl der Perioden und Alternativen.
