Abstract

The role of national governments and local authorities in the provision of health services is decreasing. ICT is gaining an important role in the health system. This paper is divided into two sections: the first one describes the complexity of health institutions management and the second shows the results of a research carried out in 2010, involving Northern Italy hospitals.
