Abstract

L'obiettivo del lavoro è quello di analizzare le reti di vendita urbane concentrando l'attenzione sulle conseguenze che lo sviluppo delle nuove polarità commerciali extraurbane hanno sulle dinamiche evolutive di tali reti, con particolare riferimento al commercio nelle aree più centrali. Dopo un breve esame della letteratura di riferimento, vengono presi in esame i fattori che sono alla base del processo di concentrazione spaziale del commercio evidenziando nel deficit di coordinamento il principale gap competitivo tra le aggregazioni spontanee di offerta di servizi e i centri commerciali pianificati. Successivamente viene proposta una griglia di analisi per individuare i diversi modelli di governance della rete di vendita che possono essere gestiti attraverso iniziative di Town Centre Management, a cui seguono alcune brevi considerazioni finali
