Abstract

La Serie Informes Subregionales de Integración representa un esfuerzo del Instituto para la Integración de América Latina y el Caribe (INTAL) destinado a fomentar el conocimiento y la difusión de información referidos al dinámico proceso de integración vigente en América Latina y el Caribe. Como parte de esta corriente integracionista, la Comunidad Andina de Naciones (CAN), la Comunidad del Caribe (CARICOM), el Mercado Común Centroamericano (MCCA) y el Mercado Común del Sur (MERCOSUR), se han constituido en casos testigo para evaluar los éxitos y los desafíos que encierran estas ambiciosas iniciativas. La intención del INTAL, mediante la publicación de esta serie, es facilitar el acceso de información a un universo de potenciales lectores interesados en los diversos ámbitos subregionales, comprendiendo a los sectores público y privado y a la comunidad en general. Sus contenidos fundamentales son: Tendencias macroeconómicas y comerciales; Evolución del comercio y de la inversión extranjera directa; Acceso a los mercados y condiciones de competencia; Políticas comunes, armonización de políticas y otras medidas de profundización; Temas especiales
