    Abstract

    El 12 de abril de 2006 fue suscrito el Acuerdo de Promoción Comercial entre el Perú y los Estados Unidos, luego de un largo y complejo proceso de negociación. La entrada en vigencia de dicho Acuerdo se dio el 01 de febrero de 2009, después que el Perú culminó la etapa de implementación prevista en el Acuerdo. En efecto, y tal como ha venido sucediendo con los acuerdos comerciales internacionales que siguen el modelo de los denominados Tratados de Libre Comercio (TLC), luego de su suscripción correspondiente y posterior ratificación parlamentaria, uno de los grandes desafíos termina siendo la implementación de las obligaciones asumidas.
